About Lee Weishar

I used to be a financial security advisor, which I started doing because there is a need in our society for financial aid; and I’m not referring to handouts. There is a lack of information in how to be financially fit, and our standard of living is in trouble unless we do something about it.

Now I’m a financial and leadership coach, finding that financial advising was more about sales, and less about helping people get better information. While before I gave people fish, I know teach people to fish, if you want to compare it that old proverb.

After reviewing Life Leadership’s financial fitness pack of information, I realized how the information we get from the media, the banks, and in some cases even other financial advisers, is wrong. Much of the information we are being taught is hurting instead of helping us.

I want to change things. I want to change people’s lives. I want to change society. It’s going to take more than just a better financial education however. It’s going to take an education on all the fundamental areas of life.

I would like to help create a better society by educating others. I believe that we are in the spot we are in because of the actions we have taken; and we have taken those actions because of the information we had. The only way to change our future is to get better information.

I believe that only through educating ourselves can we influence others; and so we need to constantly grow in knowledge AND leadership. Without the leadership to go with the knowledge, it becomes very difficult to apply that knowledge.

For that reason, I have renamed this site ‘Leadership to Freedom’. We can’t change society through wishful thinking; but only by taking action. One person can’t change society, but a group of leaders can lead others in a positive direction. When we have enough leaders, who have enough influence, we can change our nation and maybe the world. However, I understand how important it is to begin by leading ourselves, and so I am always reading and listening to information provided by Life Leadership.

I have come to love the subject of economics – ever since I realized it had nothing to do with numbers or math, and everything to do with the study of how people act. While still an amateur when it comes to the Austrian theory of economics, I am always striving to learn more. I discover more and more every day that it makes the most sense out of anything else I’ve come across.

Freedom is one of my principal core values. I believe that you should have the freedom to do whatever you want, provided it does not infringe on another’s freedom. I believe that ultimately, to reach my goal of building a better society, it will require educating people on this idea of freedom, and how it’s important for people to have freedom in all aspects of their life.

I currently live in Montreal, Quebec. It may be corrupt, but at least it’s beautiful!

Thanks Lee for creating this website and sharing your wisdom and personal information so freely with everyone, I’m in a similar situation, wanting to make this world a better place by helping others succeed by believing more in themselves and their abilities, particularly with children/parents relationships. I stumbled upon your site as I’m rewriting my 100 goals list, got stuck at 73 (lol) & needed some inspiration…. All the best, will navigate a bit more around your website & maybe even send you an email down the track. Take care, Sandra

probably because I’m not spending time dating. I’m spending most of my time on my other dreams, which means I’m out most nights helping other people. I figure once I’m financially free and have my time back, there will be time to look for that special someone.

until then.. maybe I’ll meet the right person on my journey while not even looking 🙂
